Mission

The Open Space Pace was created to celebrate the horse, New Jersey’s official state animal and to promote Open Space in New Jersey, our nation’s most densely populated state. Its primary activity is an annual Parade & County Fair held at Freehold Raceway to raise funds in support of non-profit organizations that promote Open Space in New Jersey for the equine, agricultural and recreation industries.

We are working to establish a fall festival event that if successful will be an annual event. We are currently looking for sponsors, support, volunteers, and any contribution that you are willing to make. We believe that if we combine our efforts we can successfully help to rejuvenate NJ’s harness racing industry while preserving open space.

If you have any questions, or would like to arrange a meeting please contact Brett Taft, Btaft@umh.com.
